Field Application Engineer

Requirements

● Associate Degree or above in Computer Science or Engineering.
● 1 - 3 years plus working experience on product development, technical support, or PC troubleshooting.
● Knowledge of PC's and PC-based systems.
● Knowledge of Computer Networking.
● Bilingual in Mandarin is Must!! Spanish is a plus.
● Permanent US resident & Citizen.

Responsibilities

● Project Support
(1)Undertake the role of Technical hot-line customer service desk to resolve real-time customers' technical issues.
(2)Trouble-shooting on Customer's technical/ system integration issues.
● Key Account Support
(1)Act as Solution Networking Architect for IP Surveillance solution deployments.
(2)Provide on-site technical training to selective key accounts and local distributors.
● Solution Support
(1)Provide solution templates and application note for vertical segments IP Surveillance applications.
● Product Support
(1)Undertake the role of Technical liaison between Customer & ACTi Product Development Team.
(2)Customer supports on technical and product related information.
● RMA / DOA
(1)Provide product repairs and act as focal point for local RMA/ DOA service.

Repair Engineer

Requirements

● Associate Degree or better in computer hardware or electronics.
● 1 - 3 years plus working experience on product development, circuit design, or electronics repair.
● Skilled in electronics component repair including soldering.
● Knowledge of PC's and PC-based systems.
● Basic Knowledge of Computer Networking.
● Bilingual in English and Traditional Chinese (Mandarin) is a must.

Responsibilities

Repairs Coordination

● Issue or refuse RMA reference numbers as necessary.
● Communication with customer to create, update, and track repair progress.

Merchandise Repair

● Repair products sold by ACTi.
● Using multimeter and oscilloscope to determine cause of failure.
● Repairs by means ranging from board swap to IC component soldering.
● Thorough bench test after repairs.
● Clean up and renew product and packaging appearances as necessary.

Shipping and Receiving

● Receiving and shipping merchandise before and after the repair.
● Keeping and relaying tracking information.

Parts Inventory Management

● Keeping track of current parts and tools in inventory.
● Apply for restock as necessary.

Requirement

● 5 years of experience in related technical training, sales or marketing in IP surveillance industry

Responsibilities

● Provide distributors with technical and product information and product design assistance
● Provide solution training and certification to national distributors and associated system integrators for vertical segments IP Surveillance applications.
● Act as focal point for customer problem resolution.
